When the Jackson family first started up, they partnered with a local dairy to launch a line of cheeses made from their own milk.
Tricia would go and help out in the dairy with the production of their cheeses, as a result the family were able to make and release three different cheeses, one of which was their ‘northern’ take on a classic Caerphilly. Happily, all of Tricia’s hard work paid off earning a Gold Star Great Taste Award for her efforts.
Over time the Jackson family gradually expanded the range of cheeses they stock, now carrying over 50 different varieties of artisan made cheeses from across the British Isles, all of which are made by small independent dairies, which is something the family take great pride in as provenance and a fair deal for farmers is something that’s very close to their hearts.
There’s a good chance you’ll bump into one or two members of the family during the course of your travels as they regularly attend many of the north of England’s premier food and drink markets, where you’ll find them ‘flogging British fromage.’
They can usually be found at the following markets:

- Levenshulme – Saturday – 10am till 4pm
- Sedbergh – Wednesday 8am till 12.30pm
